It was last year in October when I started my beauty blog. But as you know: that wasn’t my cup of tea. Apparently. Yet did I get many collaborations, and I loved each and every one of them! But what do you need for collaborations? Yup, that’s right, a Media Kit! Some piece of paper that brands need to analyze you and your blog. Without this kit, your chances for getting a collaboration are way lower than someone with a Media Kit. In the todays blogpost I will tell you something more about why you certainly NEED a Media Kit as a blogger, what this paper is, what it must include and… tumtum… You will get a FREE template that you can personalize it and edit to your needs.

Watching movies was my all time favorite hobby as a child. I watched movies when I wa traveling, before and after school, in the breaks of the school and back home before going to bed. Long story short, I watched every single time. I believed it was called an addiction, at least that’s how my parents called it. Computers and then afterwards the laptops were crashing because I was watching too many movies. But what else did I as a kid have to do when all the other kids were also in their homes? Anyway, first it were science-fiction movies and tv-shows, but soon I knew that this wasn’t my cup of tea anymore. I wanted to go outside, I wanted to travel. And these -recent- movies have made this “wanderlust” go stronger. Enjoy reading!
Even with some delay on the airport in Stockholm, I found my way back home. So what am I going to do now? Easy question; I’m going to write a lot about my adventures in Stockholm and I’m going to edit a lot. So unfortunately you’re not going to read anything Stockholm-related in this article. Then what are you going to read? My mistakes as a travel blogger. I read a really good blogpost the other day and I was that impressed that I just woke up and thought: hey I need to do something right now. SO it was about the mistakes that almost every blogger makes. Like I said: that impressed and shocked that I didn’t want to make these mistakes ever again. Do I still make these mistakes? Of course I do. But it definitely helped me a lot! Today I’m going to give you my top 5 frequent mistakes that (travel) bloggers (including me) make. Have fun reading! *These mistakes are also made by other bloggers, so if you’re not a travel blogger: you could find your way in this article too.
It must be just so irritating, scams all over the place. And it isn’t some ridiculous fact that you as a woman feel slightly more unsafe without a man than with a man. So why should you travel as a solo female? No idea. At least, that’s how I thought in the past. On this right moment, I’m in Stockholm. A relative safe city, but I’m a woman (yeuy!) so you’ll never know. How do I feel safe in an unknown city? You’re going to read it, in this article!
No matter if you are lost in a foreign country and you don’t dare to ask the way, or because you prefer to work as organized as you can: apps exist to simplify our way of living. No denying that. And with traveling, it’s just like that. That’s why I’ll give you my favorite APPS that I use for traveling the world. A great tip: you must go and get them yourself! Enjoy reading!
Okay, so it’s official: you want to take your blog to a higher level? Of course there will be some extras you need to keep in mind. Do you have to write your brand down in an official brand office so that it’s official? Or do you need to rent an office so you could work with no stress? It is naturally if you also work with other brands. Like hotels for example. This is the first step for taking your blog seriously. What’s of course an advantage if you want to work with brands. With Waves Into Motion (beauty blog) I had many collaborations with brands and now that I travel blog, I’m constantly negotiating. So how do I do this, this collaboration with brands?
Of course most of the bloggers want to be a full time blogger. They want to make it their job forever. Earning money with your blog is much more fun than a 9-to-5-job anyway. So yes, if I may be honest, I’m dying to make this blog my job. It’s going to be really difficult, but it’s not impossible. Anyway, I sat down and I brainstormed some ideas how you could make money from your blog. And I wrote those ideas in this article. Are you curious if you could also apply these tips? Then you might want to read further!
Are you wondering why you’re still stuck at that stupid little number on your statistic page? Mine said 580 followers on Twitter. The next day it was -I believe- 588 followers, what then said afterwards that I lost some and went back to 579. So annoying to stay on that specific number. So I have started taking social media more seriously and went on the crazy path. Now I gained more followers and incredible sweet readers. Do you want to know how I did this? Then you might want to read further. Enjoy!
If I may be honest, I don’t really get the exchanging looks if I say that I’m going to travel on a long-term base. And no, I haven’t got anything planned out yet, but I do dream about traveling full time in the future, like having a travel blog (check!) and being able to live from that income. I know, I know, it remains a dream for the moment, but I’m trying really hard to save money for my travels so I can make my dream a reality. Anyway, when I ask my friends why they’re exchanging looks like that, I get these phrases I hear all the time. Saying it differently: I call it misconceptions about long-term traveling. Do you want to know if you’re someone who makes the misconceptions or do you hear these misconceptions also very often?
Can you relate to this? You’re afraid of a little spider that probably won’t even hurt a housefly (I don’t know about the housefly though), but what you really want to do is jump off high cliffs into clear blue water. Maybe you can’t relate to this, but I sure do. These are 5 x frightening adventures that I would like to do. Even though I’m an easily stressed person. So probably someone has to force me into doing these awesome, but scary activities. And what about you? Are you having this strong feeling that says you want to do this?
